Gradient Glitter Nails Inspired by Frmheadtotoe!

I saw a really cool nail tutorial yesterday that Jen at Frmheadtotoe did that I just couldn't wait to try out! It looks really cool and is pretty easy to do. I didn't have the exact colors she used, but you can use whatever colors you have as long as they coordinate.

Here are the colors that I used (from left to right):

1. A base color - mine was Essie "Walk Down the Aisle," a sheer milky white color.

2. A sheer, buildable color - I used the Delicia polish that Miss B got me last Christmas, which is a sheer gray/blue glittery color.

3. A darker, more opaque color - Since my sheer color was blue/gray, I needed to use a darker color in the same color family, so I chose OPI "Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees" in the Suede finish.

4. A glitter topcoat - I don't have the same one Frmheadtotoe used, but I think it's pretty close looking. It's Revlon's "Belle." I was inspired to get this one after Miss M got one in a different color when we were in LA.

Here are my results. I think it's not bad for a first time try. haha

I tried one hand with the dark tip, but then I realized, I kinda liked the look without the dark tip as well. Let me know what you guys think. I think the dark tip is cool, but may not be as "work friendly."

My left hand looks a little more toned down, but I'm not sure if the glitter still takes it over the top for the work environment. Regardless, I'm happy with the results and am excited to try out different color combinations. Before this past week, I haven't really owned any glitter nail polishes, but now there's a whole world of possibilities that's opened up to me! *Runs out to buy more glitter polishes*
